News: COVID 19: Mask The Frontlines

/ Post by Michelle Kaminski
As the outbreak of COVID-19 continues to spread globally, there is a critical lack of surgical masks and personal protective equipment (PPE). Doctors, nurses, and other frontline medical workers across Canada and the United States are being forced to go against standard protocol of changing masks for each patient, leaving themselves and other patients vulnerable to infection, as they interact with COVID-19 patients. The number of health care workers contracting COVID-19 is on a steady rise as a result of the lack of proper protective equipment.

Michelle Kaminski, founder of the fashion retail handbag Company Bag and Bougie has connected with her factory in an effort to produce at least 10,000 masks in compliance with FDA guidelines.

Every dollar that is donated will go directly to delivering masks to health care facilities in need. THIS IS NOT FOR PROFIT.

Please email should you or a facility you know of be in need of masks.

We are here to work together and need your support to get our healthcare workers safe.

Michelle Kaminski, (@bagandbougieto) is the 26-year-old founder of Bag and Bougie (B&B). B&B is an online platform for the discovery and purchase of unique and innovative bags. The website sells durable and machine washable bags that are the perfect solution for everyday errands, fitness fanatics, moms on the go, students, travelers and those working in traditional office settings.

Now more than ever, it is important to carry a reliable and machine washable bag. For those who already own a B&B please take advantage of the ability to wash your bag at home. Care: use a little bit of detergent on a normal cycle and air to dry.

Proceeds of a purchased tote from Bag and Bougie will also be donated to help cover the costs of surgical masks for our frontline workers.

Ariella Sharf (@eightbyone) is the 26-year-old founder of Eight By One, a brand tokened “retail therapy for a cause”.  With every purchase made, a portion of proceeds is donated.  During this unprecedented time in uncharted territory, Eight By One is doing everything possible to raise funds and awareness to protect frontline workers and aid those facing hard times due to this pandemic.  Proceeds from the sale of the Eight By One DIY Bead Kit are currently being donated to support the efforts of this cause, but we encourage you to donate any amount possible.  $1 could save a life.

Michelle and Ariella will be personally distributing the masks to hospitals across North America.
